Blessed Litha

Today is the Summer Solstice...the longest day of the year!  Let us celebrate the abundant Earth and Nature in full bloom.

One legend holds that, at twilight on Litha Eve, the door to the Middle Kingdom opens and those who seek it may come and go freely.

The trooping faeries are on the move!  Welcome them into your home and garden by leaving offerings of honey, bread, or milk.  They also love sparkly stones...so set out some labradorite, moonstone, or quartz.  *Be fore warned some faeries like to cause mischief!

Litha is also an excellent time for rites of divination...so get those pendulums out and have fun!!

Blessed Beltane

The Wheel turns and we are once again back at Beltane.  The flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing, and warmer days are spread out before us like molten honey.  I love the since of anticipation that comes with this time of year...something wonderful is just around the corner.

One of my favorite things to do is to decorate the trees in my yard with satin ribbons.  I use different colors and lengths, placing them randomly amongst the branches.  I love how the wind makes them dance and sway to the music of nature.

My apple tree all beribboned!

And speaking of music...this song is always in my head during the month of May.  (Yes, my musical theater roots are showing...I love Camelot!)

Don't forget today is a "Trooping" day as well.  Faeries will be on the move!  If you would like to entice them into your home and garden (be for warned...not all faeries are helpful and nice) set out some cream, honey, or bread as an offering.  Faeries also love shiny stones like labradorite, quartz, and moonstone!

Today is a great day to stop and smell the roses and give thanks to the Earth as she awakens from her long winter nap!

Happy Ostara

Time once again to welcome Spring!  Which means...

My Plum Tree will soon be bursting
with delicate pink blossoms.

Hot air balloons become my morning wake up call.

I switch out my dishes.

And I celebrate Ostara!

I am also looking forward to longer days, more sunshine, burst of color in New Mexico's brown landscape, and reconnecting with friends and neighbors as we emerge from our winter hibernation.

I hope you have a happy and blessed Ostara!

Forgiveness...

Forgive and let your heart take flight!
Release old anger, hurt, betrayal, disappointment, and resentment.  Take the first step to forgive yourself and others.  Not only will you feel better, but releasing all these negative emotions will create a void for happiness and joy to rush in.

I know this is not an easy process nor a quick one.  Forgiveness takes time and nurturing and most importantly practice.  But don't be surprised when forgiveness seems to strike out of no where, it can bring you to your knees and send your heart soaring through the Universe.

Today forgiveness...tomorrow JOY!

A Fresh Start

How will you start this New Year?  Will you bring with you all the disappointments, the failures, the heart breaks, and all the things that hold your spirit down.

Marked by the Muse

Or will you let go of all that has been, open your heart to a new way of being, and live like there is no tomorrow.  At any moment in time you are given the unique opportunity of choice.  Choose how you want to live.  I am asking you to be an active participant in your life.  Make the changes you have dreamed about.  The Universe is waiting with your wish list, all you need do is open your hands and your heart!

My hands and heart are open!!  Happy New Year!

Clearing & Charging Your Pendulum

Every pendulum radiates and absorbs energy.  Regardless of your intent, your pendulum picks up positive and negative energy from the environment.  It needs to be cleared of this negative energy on a regular basis.  There are several methods you can use to clear your pendulum.

Smudge your pendulum with sage~

I included a package of white sage with your purchase.
1.  you will need:  a fire safe container (glass or ceramic), white sage, a lighter, your pendulum.
2. light the sage in a fire safe container and blow out the flames.
3. the sage should continue to smoke.
4. pass your pendulum slowly through the smoke of the sage at least 4-5 times.

Smudge your pendulum with incense~

1.  light the incense and blow out the flame, the incense should continue to smoke.
2.  pass your pendulum slowly through the smoke at least 4-5 times.
3.  circle your pendulum from top to bottom with the incense.

Clear your pendulum with a cleansing stone~

Place your pendulum in a pouch along with a citrine crystal for 24 hours undisturbed.  Citrine is a self cleansing stone that will clear other stones.

Clear your pendulum with moonlight~

Set your pendulum on a windowsill during the Full Moon or New Moon and let it sit over night.  Not only does it clear the negative energy form your pendulum, but it charges your pendulum with positive energy at the same time.  Don't worry if it is overcast, your pendulum will still clear and charge.  Similar to the ocean tides which feel the pull of the moon even if it is cloudy or stormy.

I recommend clearing your pendulum every month.  If your pendulum becomes sluggish or erratic it might need cleared more often.

Did you know you can use your pendulum to clear negative energy from your tarot cards?
