I really enjoyed my excursion into the dark, dank depths of the Catacombs.  Every series I think "These are my new favorites!" and I couldn't agree more in regards to this series which has been my most labor intensive to date.  To bend, shape, and saw simple sheet metal into a vast variety of forms; to create texture, patina, and transfer metals with chemistry; and to see my designs go from simple drawings to functional art that you can hold in your hand is extremely rewarding.  Thank you for your support which allows me to create with my hands, my heart, and my artist soul.

I'm now making these beautiful, one of a kind, hand-forged pendulum boxes.  A wonderful compliment to your Crowning Elements Pendulum and a great way to keep your pendulum safe, secure, and protected.  Hours of craftsmanship go into each unique pendulum box.  These will be extremely limited and not available via custom orders.

 I etched the brass with a beautiful world map design and patina-ed the metal.  I created one of a kind, digital art for the inside of the box.  Along with my favorite quote from J.R.R Tolkien ~ "Not all those who wander are lost."  A sprinkling of gold stars sealed in resin adorns the back of the maiden figurehead on the top of the box.  I have layered a treasure map along with some tattered cloth for accent.  The box ties with a gorgeous nave blue satin ribbon.

The Spirits are gathering for this year's Samhain Series entitled Séance. 

This year I was inspired by all things dark and gothic, tragic romances, and mysterious gatherings.  The writings of Edgar Allan Poe and the disturbed characters of Dorian Gray, Jane Eyre, and Wuthering Heights.  Imagine all of them gathered for a Séance.  Who would they invoke?  What questions would they ask? 

 

 

All of the pendulums in this series are inspired by the tools and objects you would find at a Séance...a crystal ball, a tarot deck, a scrying mirror, a planchette, a lover's eye.
