pendulum tips

Using Your Pendulum

Your new Crowning Elements pendulum arrives freshly tuned and charged, ready for use!

Now let’s determine the swing responses of your pendulum.  Dangle your pendulum from your dominant hand using your thumb and first two fingers.  Ask the pendulum to show you a ‘yes’ response.  Note the direction the pendulum is moving, this is your ‘yes’.   Repeat the process for ‘no’.  The two responses should be different.  Sometimes a pendulum will swing in a circular motion for one individual, and back and forth for another individual.  Get use to the pendulums response by asking some obvious questions that will give a true yes and no answer.  For instance, begin asking, “Is my name ________”.  Keep practicing these obvious questions until you feel confident you know your ‘yes’ and ‘no’ swing directions.  There is no wrong way to do this, you are tapping into your intuition, learning to trust your inner knowing.

When you are comfortable, begin asking questions you don’t know the answers to.  Your answers will be the truest when your mind is clear, and your emotions are neutral.  This will take some practice and patience, but don’t be discouraged, eventually your answers will be consistent and correct.

Pendulum Care

I create my pendulums to be strong and durable. However, I am working with natural stones and hand-forged elements which can have hidden imperfections. These imperfections can result in chips or cracks, the focal is especially susceptible. Please handle with care.  Do not submerge your pendulum in water, oil, or salt as this can damage the finish.  Polish as needed with a soft jewelry polishing cloth.

Every pendulum radiates and absorbs energy.  Regardless of your intent, your pendulum picks up positive and negative energy from the environment.  So, it’s a good idea to retune your pendulum regularly.  I recommend using sound acoustics.  Every crystal has a dominate oscillatory rate or frequency.  Using sound physically jars the crystal into returning to its dominate oscillatory rate.  You can use a tuning fork, a crystal singing bowl, chimes, or loud music. I recommend retuning your pendulum every month.  If your pendulum becomes sluggish or erratic it might need retuned more often.
