A few weekends ago the Mr. and I attended the Santa Fe Renaissance Fair.  We couldn't go with out an entourage so my Mom and my friend Kate joined us.  My poor hubby was stuck with three loud, opinionated women...oy vey!  He coped by eating something from every food vendor there!  While he was busy eating we were watching...

Happy Mabon

Mabon or the Autumn Equinox occurs on or around September 21, this year it is today.  This is a Festival of the Second Harvest.  A day to count your blessings and gather the harvest for the coming winter.  A day of equal parts light and dark, a day of balance. 

Today is a great day to recognize that without the dark there would be no light.  That darkness lives within us and is not necessarily an evil force, only a different aspect of our true nature.  Strive for a balance!

What was that?  Logan stop barking!!  I don't see anything...oh wait a minute.

YIKES!  That had to hurt!  I am happy to report that the pigeon while dazed and confused, survived splatting against my window.  And Logan once again defended his territory against those evil birds!! 

Good Boy!  Now if only he could wash the window...
